With Black History Month fast approaching, Ryerson University is busy planning activities that will culminate in the celebration of the annual Viola Desmond Awards on March 4, 2019.
Now in its 11th year, Ryerson University’s Viola Desmond Awards recognize talented Black students while bringing attention to the overlooked stories of women of African descent who are shaping Canadian society.
