CALLING ALL MENTAL HEALTH PRACTIONERS

The Federation of Black Canadians (FBC-FCN) has been working with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) to support them in the execution of the 2018 Federal Budget Plan. The 2018 Federal Budget Plan currently provides $10 million over five years in dedicated resources to address these significant and real challenges faced by Black communities in Canada

To support this effort, FBC-FCN has been asked by PHAC to submit a list of recommended practitioners and experts from Black Communities across the country who will be responsible in reviewing proposal applications from the community with respect to the funding opportunity from the Public Health Agency. If selected, these individuals will be a part of the National Review Board for Mental Health.

La Fédération des Canadiens noires (FBC-FCN) collabore avec l’Agence de la santé publique du Canada (ASPC) pour les aider à mettre en œuvre le plan budgétaire fédéral de 2018. Le plan budgétaire fédéral de 2018 prévoit actuellement des ressources dédiées de 10 millions de dollars sur cinq ans pour relever les défis importants et réels auxquels font face les communautés noires au Canada.

Pour soutenir cet effort, l’ASPC a demandé à FBC-FCN de soumettre une liste de praticiens et d’experts des communautés noires a travers le Canada qui seront chargés de reviser les demandes de propositions de la communauté concernant la possibilité de financement de l’Agence de santé publique. Si elles sont sélectionnées, ces personnes feront partie de la Commission nationale de revue de la santé mentale.
